The Howard Fire Company is a 100% volunteer run company that is located in Howard Borough, Centre County, Pennsylvania. The fire company was founded in 1890 and was incorporated on December 31, 1936. Our company proudly provides Fire, Rescue, and Quick Response Services to the citizens of Howard Borough, Howard Township, Marion Township, and parts of Curtin Township. We also provide mutual aid to the surrounding volunteer fire companies in our area. We are proud to be a member of the Centre County Water Rescue Task Force and a certified Type 3A VRSR team. We respond as the primary water rescue for emergencies in Foster Sayers Lake, local streams,  and when called upon, we provide water rescue aid to areas along the Susquehanna river and other bodies of water.

The Howard Volunteer Fire Company is always looking for honest, motivated, and hard working individuals to help in our cause. We always need both active members to run emergency calls and supporting members to help with fundraising and events.

If you are interested in volunteering you may contact the Fire Co. at 814-625-2761 or stop by the station on Thursday evening during work night.
